Mysterious H1N1 Cases at Guangdong School
Nation, page 10
Although ten days have passed since China's southern Guangdong province announced pupils in a local primary school had been diagnosed as suffering from (A)H1N1 influenza, the origin of the infection still remains a mystery. As of June 29, 43 pupils in the Shipai township's central primary school were found to have contracted H1N1 and another case was discovered in a local kindergarten. In order to prevent the spread of the disease, schools around the country were required to check the temperature of all their students and report suspected cases to the local disease control and prevention center as well as the educational administration agency within two hours.
