Relevant government departments are formulating an income distribution system reform plan and hoping to launch it by the end of this year, according to Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (MOHRSS) press spokesman Yin Chengji (尹成基).
At an Oct 25 press conference, Mr. Yin said that the plans related to MOHRSS’s responsibilities are mainly wage system reform for employees in government agencies, public institutions and enterprises.
He also said MOHRSS is in the process of promoting related work like standardizing civil servants’ allowances and subsidies, implementing a performance-based pay system in public institutions, and strict implementation of the minimum wage system.
For the next step, MOHRSS will study and refine the reform measures in accordance with the overall plan for income distribution and develop a specific implementation plan.
