After a short hiatus we’re back and pleased to announce that the Economic Observer Podcast is rebranding as “China Hang-up.” You can still count on smart conversations with movers and shakers getting things done in China, but now we hope to open up the discussion a bit.
The new format will be call-in show style, where we’ll solicit questions from listeners in the form of emailed recordings that will kick off the discussion. So if there’s a question or story you have related to economic, social or political issues in China, record it and send it to chinahangup@gmail.com.
Our inaugural China Hang-up focuses on the theme of entrepreneurship and startups in the Middle Kingdom. So to talk about the opportunities and challenges for foreigners wanting to set up shop here, we’ve invited Stephen Price, founder of ikuramedia, which helps startups develop mobile apps. And we've also invited his business partner Shlomo Freund, who founded the entrepreneurial consulting site Startup Noodle.
