A research institute attached to the EIC Group recently completed a survey of employment trends among Chinese returnee graduates in cooperation with Sina's Education Channel. The survey involved questioning 6,784 returnees online from June to September, 2010.

According to the results of the survey published by Sina:

77 percent of the retrunee graduates surveyed landed a job in less than 3 months

28 percent of those returnee graduates who found work are paid between 3,000 and 5,000 yuan a month
15 percent
of those surveyed said that their monthly salary ranges from 5,000 to 10,000 yuan
22 percent
earn 10,000 to 30,000 yuan a month

The EIC-Sina survey also revealed that oversees returnees are paid more than graduates from Chinese universities who earned degrees in the same area and had comparable experiences.
