State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) announced two more state-owned enterprises controlled by the central government, also known as centrally-owned enterprises (COE) will be merged into two other companies, taking the total number of COE to 129 at the end of the year. SASAC has said many times in the past that it plans to reduce the number of COE to between 80-100 by the end of 2010, this means that at least another 29 COE will need to be merger or otherwise divested over the coming 12 months.
