Ministry of Finance Announces Tax Exemptions for Public Rental Housing

In an effort to encourage the construction and operatrion of public rental housing, the Ministry of Finance and the State Administration of Taxation yesterday announced that as of September 27, they will offer several tax exemptions to developers for a three-year period. According to the official announcement, construction companies will be exempt from urban land use tax, deed tax, land appreciation tax, business tax, property tax, stamp duty and several other taxes when working on the construction of public rental housing properties.
