Basic Medicines to Carry Electronic Tag

The State Food and Drug Administration told a journalist with the Beijing Morning Post, that as of tomorrow, all the medicines included on the basic drugs list, will be electronically tagged, so that health authorities can monitor their distribution.
As of April 1, all drug companies are required to print the code on the packaging of all such medicines before they leave the factory. A medicine with out the electronic tag, can not be included in the list of essential drugs.
