China to Introduce Stricter Conditions on Construction of Local Wind Power Projects

China's National Energy Bureau (NEB) is in the process of drafting regulations aimed at better managing the approval of wind power projects, according to an unnamed source at the NEB.The new rules may require that local governments seek permission from the NEB before beginning work on wind power projects with a capacity of less than 50,000 kilowatt hours. The new regulations could be issued as early as June this year.
