China Identifies Seed Industry as Strategic Sector

The State Council issued Guidelines on the Promotion of a Modern Seed Industry yesterday, stating the seed industry is a core strategic sector. This is the first time that the seed industry has been acknowledged as a strategic sector of national importance.
