Wen Qiang to be Sentenced Today

Wen Qiang , the former director of the Chongqing Public Security Bureau, as well as his wife, Zhou Xiaoya, are to be sentenced today. Wen Qiang is accused of providing protection to local criminal gangs, owning large amounts of unidentified properties, and rape. Three former officials of the Chongqing public security system who used to be under Wen's authority will also be sentenced today. Their verdicts will be announced at 3 o'clock this afternoon.
