Each Victim of Shanghai Fire to Receive 960,000 Yuan in Compensation

At a press conference organized by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government devoted to discussing the deadly November 15 fire, the mayor of Shanghai's Jing'an district Zhang Renliang announced that each victim of the fire will receive about 960,000 yuan in compensation. The compensation will consist of 650,000 yuan for each death and 310,000 in other payments. The mayor emphasised that the compensation offered to victims will be the same for both registed Shanghai residents and non-residents.
