Preferential Tax Policy for Small Engine Vehicles Ceased

The central government has decided to cease the preferential tax policy for small engine vehicles at the end of 2010; as of January 1, 2011, buyers of cars with engines sizes of 1.6 liters or less will have to pay a vehicle purchase tax at a rate of 10% instead of the previous 7.5%.
