CAA Aims to Have 80% of Planes Leave on Time Over Next 5 years

The on-time departure rate of flights departing Chinese airports is planned to exceed 80% over the coming five years according to the Civil Aviation Administration's recently-released 12th Five-Year Plan.Only 75.43% of flights left on schedule last year, according to official statistics, 6.47% percentage points lower than that of the previous year and also the first time the figure has dropped below the 80% level in 5 years. According to statistics released by the China Consumers'Association, complaints about airline services increased by 89.3% in 2010, with complaints about delays one of the major complaints.
